Best Teams and Strategies to Fight Mighty Mewtwo Tera Raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Since Mewtwo is an extremely powerful Pokemon, you should include at least three other trainers in these battles for optimal results. The following teams are best suited to defeat the seven-star Mewtwo in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids:

  1. 3x Mew with a Bug Tera and Metronome type holder + 1x Mew with a lightweight clay holder for support.
  2. 2x Mew with Bug Tera and Shell Bell Holder Item + 1x Mew with Shell Bell for support + 1x Armarouge with Light Clay for support.
  3. 1x Mew with Dark Tera and Shell Bell type items + 2x Mew with Bright Powder for support + 1x Sableye with Light Clay for support.
  4. 1x Mew with Bug Tera and Metronome Holder + 1x Mew with Light Powder for support + 1x Mew with Light Clay for support + 1x Spiritomb with Leftover Food for support.

Turn 1-3

With Bug Tera Mew, you must use Swords Dance. At the end of the third turn, each of these Mews will maximize their physical attack.

With Support Mew, set up a Light Screen on the first turn to reduce damage taken. On the next turns, use Heal Cheer to regain health.

4th time onwards

Bug Tera Mew should only use Leech Life from this point on. Thanks to the Metronome, the power of the move will increase by 20% every turn, until the power is doubled.

The three Mews use Reflect Type with Sableye as their target to become Ghost type. Sableye sets up a Light Screen to reduce damage taken.

Turn 2-4

Dark Tera Mew uses Insane Conspiracy to maximize its special attack. One of the Support Mew uses Mud-Slap to reduce the opponent’s Mewtwo’s Accuracy, while the other uses Acid Spray to lower its Special Defense.

Sableye uses a variety of tactics available to assist allies in the Tera Raid Battle in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

5th time onwards

Bug Tera Mew maximizes its attack power by using Swords Dance three times. Mew assist with Light Clay uses Light curtain first and then Mud-Slap later turns. The remaining support Mew uses Mud Slap three times to reduce Mewtwo’s Accuracy.

Spiritomb uses the Allied Support feature available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids.

5th time onwards
