DPVR launches new ‘P2’ enterprise-grade Virtual Reality headset

September 12, 2023 – DPVRShanghai-based virtual reality (VR) headset maker, today launched its latest VR headset alongside the launch of ‘DPVR P2’, which the company claims is aimed at educators, innovative EdTech providers and forward-thinking businesses around the world.

Marathon Kit: P2 power configuration package designed specifically for businesses

DPVR claims that virtual reality users have previously expressed concerns about the power sustainability and battery life of VR devices, with some users even resorting to third-party modifications to extended operating time to ensure more consistent VR headset functionality.

To address these issues, DPVR has unveiled the ‘Marathon Kit’ – a power configuration setup that supplies the following accessories:

  1. Replaceable 5700mAh backup battery
  2. Dedicated charging dock
  3. DC power supply

DPVR claims that the Marathon Kit ensures users a more seamless and resilient power experience, and it is designed to meet a wide range of power needs, from a variety of sectors, including education and training, elder care, VR health and VR gaming and video games.

Enhanced data security with file encryption

To solve the problem of data asset security for businesses, DPVR P2 has the ability to encrypt data. Once encrypted, files can only be accessed and decrypted by authorized DPVR devices, ensuring excellent protection for corporate, school and institutional data, which This will be able to exploit functionality to create safe and private VR environments.

Ergonomically designed for enhanced comfort and flexibility

The P2 device is designed with balanced weight distribution from front to back. According to DPVR, the headset’s ergonomic design helps distribute weight seamlessly, enhancing the overall wearing experience. According to DPVR, the P2’s TWS earbuds accessory comes with active noise cancellation technology, capable of reducing ambient noise by up to 80%, significantly amplifying the potential of audio-based learning experiences. The P2’s built-in speakers have also been improved to increase bass performance by 50%, adding depth and richness to audio content.

Customizable with business-focused features

Follow in its footsteps Predecessor P1, DPVR P2 introduced a series of customizable features. On the hardware side, customers can personalize logos, packaging and colors to meet their own business needs, essentially providing businesses with a white-label VR headset solution. DPVR notes that minimum order quantities to customize the P2 start at 100 units. In terms of software, P2 offers customization options for the Launcher, Unity, Framework, and SDK.
