Head of Department – Informatics

The School of Computer Science, Engineering and Physics is looking for a senior scholar to serve as Head of the Department of Computing. The department is expected to develop high-quality, research-inspired teaching to support the portfolio of programs offered by the University. The Head of Department will join the School’s Leadership Team, helping to define and deliver the College’s strategy and vision, with a focus on AI and Sustainable Technology.

The Head of Department will be responsible for expanding teaching opportunities within the Computer Department with a specific focus on expanding our portfolio of work-based learning. The Head of Department will have a track record of teaching, leadership, and continual improvement in learning and teaching, and will be jointly responsible, as part of the School’s leadership team, for the development of and provides the University’s vibrant undergraduate, graduate, and working portfolio. based learning and CPD courses.

The Head of Department will work as a member of the University Leadership Team to develop inter-University and inter-Department research. They have a good track record in research. The Head of Department will benefit from opportunities such as mentoring and participating in leadership development and is expected to maintain his position in both research and teaching.
