HTC VIVE opens Steam XR Elite package for sale – XR Today

HTC VIVE announced on Thursday that it will sell its XR Elite mixed reality (MR) headset as a premium package for gaming.

Fans of the flagship device can now purchase two bundles, each priced at $1,099.

In Bundle A, the device includes a $100 Steam Gift Card, a $79 VIVE Streaming Cable, and 5 titles to download. Package B offers a $100 VIVE Coupon, a $79 VIVE Streaming Cable, and five titles totaling over $100.

Steam remains one of the top destinations for cloud-streamed content, not just for gamers but also for government and business users.

Those interested in cashing in on this deal can do so before September 30 this year.

HTC VIVE Business+ package

For businesses, HTC VIVE has launched a core package for its VIVE Business+ solution. In addition to the VIVE XR Elite Business Edition headset, users can get enterprise-grade features, options, functionality, and mobile device management (MDM).

HTC VIVE’s superior MDM features enable companies to manage, update and customize entire headset fleets, streamlining and ensuring user experience. This uses a QR code to register the headset on the MDM system for WiFi upgrades, deployment, and migration of settings from one device to another.

The Business+ plan also adds a solid two-year warranty to the platform and its list of services.

Other features include remote device performance monitoring, over-the-air (OTA) bulk configuration, user management, and more.

HTC VIVE has also integrated user experience enhancements such as Kiosk Mode, to reduce distractions to corporate workflows, visual image measurement (VO) mode to deploy immersive experiences in Sandbox field and other modes.

HTC VIVE’s hand tracking overcomes low light issues

Furthermore, HTC VIVE has updated current and potential headset customers that it has improved hand tracking performance. One of the key upgrades to the platform includes enhanced reliability in adverse lighting conditions.

HTC VIVE posted on social media at the time: “Be prepared for even better performance, especially in low light. Say goodbye to worrying about reflections and complicated lighting arrangements.”

The upgrade also demonstrates the company’s commitment to improving its solution line and remaining competitive with rival headphone manufacturers.

In the XR Elite Software FOTA 4.5 update, HTC VIVE has also tweaked a number of key issues for the headset’s VIVE Streaming Hub, including PIN access to screenless devices.

HTC VIVE at the Enterprise Metaverse Summit

HTC VIVE’s John Dabill spoke to XR Today on the sidelines of the Enterprise Metaverse Summit in London at the end of June. The Economist hosted the industry-leading meeting to showcase and showcase leading XR strategies.

Speaking on VIVE Flow, VIVE XR Elite and VIVE XR Elite Business Edition, Dabill explained the headset’s hardware specifications, the collaborative VIVERSE metaverse platform and the advantages over other immersive displays. Consumer Electronics Show 2023 Launches

HTC VIVE launched the XR Elite solution at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023. At the Las Vegas event, the head-mounted display (HMD) wowed audiences with its sleek design, removable battery, glasses mode, and realistic color transmission.

Several rival headsets, such as the Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3, will enter the market next year and in September, respectively. Apple revealed this at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). on June 5.

Meta, in turn, aims to provide full coverage of Mission 3 at its Connect 2023 event from September 27 to 28. The Menlo Park-based company also gave audiences a teaser trailer just days before WWDC, signaling growing competition for the immersive hardware space.
