The successor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 may launch sooner than we think

Thanks to its good hardware credentials and unbeatable price, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has become one of the top Android tablets you can buy. Expect a big performance gap between this mid-range tablet and some of Samsung’s more powerful tablets, such as the recently launched Galaxy Tab S9 trio of models. However, the A series of tablets has been historically successful for the Korean manufacturer, and we’ve recently started hearing about an upcoming successor. The page doesn’t contain much information about the tablet but does reveal the model number SM-X115, which we know is related to the Galaxy Tab A9. There is also a Galaxy Tab A9+ model in production, as revealed in the Bluetooth certification list with model number SM-X216Binitial leaked last month. For some reason, the two tablets seem to have different Bluetooth versions, as SamMobile notes. While the Plus model is said to feature Bluetooth 5.1, the standard Galaxy Tab A9 is said to use the newer Bluetooth 5.3 standard, according to its own Bluetooth SIG page that surfaced this week. It’s unclear whether this was an intentional distinction by the company or just an error that will be fixed later.

These details serve as partial confirmation that the Galaxy Tab A9 is indeed on its way, with certification site SafetyKorea also providing live images of the tablet late last month, revealing its full face. its front. Based on what we know so far, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE will be a bit more powerful in hardware than the Galaxy Tab A9 series. This is likely to result in a higher price for the former, thus creating a big enough separation between the A9 and Fan Edition variants. We still don’t have a launch date for these tablets on the calendar, although a late 2023 release is currently rumored.
