We’ve built channels with privacy in mind
Our goal is to build the most private broadcasting service available. This starts with protecting the personal information of both administrators and followers. Following a channel will not reveal your phone number to admins or other followers. Who you decide to follow is your choice and it’s private.
We don’t believe that Channel updates should last forever. Therefore, we will only store channel history on our servers for a maximum of 30 days. Admins will also have the option to block screenshots and retweets from their channel.
We’ll also help admins decide who can follow their channel and whether they want their channel to be found in the directory.
This is just the beginning, and we’ll continue to add more features and expand the Channel based on the feedback we receive from users. In the coming months, we’ll also make it possible for anyone to create a channel.
If you want more product updates directly from us, we have now also officially launched WhatsApp channel to keep you up to date on what we’re building.
